Eufy Robovac 30C is an entry-level robot vacuum with a lot of advancements.

At the price around 300 bucks, Robovac 30C holds a lot of benefits such as strongest suction power (1500 Pa motor), greatest filtration system (triple filters and HEPA feature), slimmest profile (2.85 in), quietest noise level (55 dB), boundary strip included, wifi and Alexa skill included, and a long run time (about 100 minutes).

Thanks to these improvements, Robovac 30C peaks as one of the top-rated robot vacuum cleaner at affordable price. It is highly recommended if you are searching for a high-performance model within the budget.

On the downside, Robovac 30C is still an entry-level model, therefore do not expect this unit to have advanced benefits like mapping technology, efficient navigation, selective area cleaning like expensive ones.

Should you buy Robovac 30C in 2019?

We highly recommend Robovac 30C if you are seeking for a low price robot with strong suction, low noise, better filtration and easy to use benefits.

Robovac 30C has boundary strips and wifi connection, therefore, it is way better than previous models of this brand.

The price of Robovac 30C is unbeatable and sometimes there is a coupon of Robovac 30C to make it even cheaper.

Technologies and benefits of Robovac 30C

Robovac 30C has an identical design to Robovac 11S, Robovac 15C series. They have the same dimensions, dust bin capacity, filtration system with HEPA, brush design, wheel design, and anti-scratch glass top. Robovac 30C is measured by 12.8 x 12.8 x 2.85 in. The dust bin is 600 mL and its large wheels allow the robot to transverse up to 0.65 in without difficulty.

The first, most noticing improvement of Robovac 30C is the motor power. This model uses a 1500 Pa motor to generate suction power.

As you may know, a standard robot vacuum at entry-level often uses a motor of 1000 Pa. Therefore, you can expect this model to have much stronger suction. Eufy stated this model has 3X suction compared to its original model (Robovac 10 series, 1000 Pa motor).

The second important improvement that will benefit a lot when using the robot is the boundary strip. Previous Robovac units do not have the boundary strip to limit areas. In the package, Robovac 30C has a 13.2 ft boundary strip, which will make it very easy for users to block wires, cables zones, toilet door.

Third, thanks to the use of 1500 Pa, Robovac 30C is now capable of cleaning mid-pile carpets better. When cleaning mid-pile carpets, the robot uses its highest suction power to lift hair, loose fibers, dust. The run time on mid-pile carpets, as a result, is shortened (40 minutes). When running on bare floors (tile, laminate, hardwood), Robovac 30C remains its longest run time up to 100 minutes.

To control the robot, you can use a remote or via a smartphone. Robovac 30C is wifi connected and it is compatible with both Alexa skills and Google Assistant.

BoostIQ technology – second generation

As one of the newest model from the brand, Robovac 30C applies the 2nd generation of BoostIQ – a technology to automatically increase suction power within 1.5 seconds.

Li-Ion battery – Long run time

Robovac 30C uses a 2600 mAh 14.4V Li-Ion pack, similar to previous models. This battery pack can last for 100 minutes on bare floors, 50 minutes on low pile carpets and 40 minutes on mid pile carpets.

On the other hands, Robovac 30C has a long charging time up to 5-6 hours for a full charge.

Infrared sensors – Adequate dirt detection

As expected, Robovac 30C still uses the infrared sensors for detecting the dirt and obstacles. It also uses anti-drop sensors for cliff detect to avoid falls off. To protect the robot, make sure the anti-drop sensors are always cleaned.

Very silent

The noise level of Robovac 30C is better than any competitors. Robovac 30C is noticeably silent. Its typical noise level is about 55 dB, which is nothing but similar to a microwave noise.

Performance of Roborock 30c

Watch the video to see how Roborock 30c cleans carpets with its random cleaning mode. The robot has a soft pump when facing obstacles and it avoids the stairs perfectly to protect itself.

To get the best performance of the robot vacuum, you should also care for the maintenance parts of Robovac 30C. As suggested from Eufy, you should replace

  • Filters: every 2 months
  • Rolling brush: 1- 2 per years
  • Side brush: 2-4 per years

To save the cost, Eufy has included extra sets of filters and up to 4 brushes in the package.

FAQs and troubleshooting of Robovac 30C

Q: How quiet is this?

A: less noisy than Roomba. This unit noise is about 55 dB. Roomba 600s noise level is about 65 dB.

Q: Confirm differences between 15C and 30C only suction power (1300 vs 1500Pa) and boundary strip?

A: Apart from that, the Robovac 30C has virtual boundaries to limit areas, and its higher motor power helps the robot to clean mid-pile carpets.

Q: I have read conflicting posts on the remote that comes with this unit vs. the 30, non-wifi version. Do both units come with the same remote?

A: I have the 15c and it comes with a remote. I imagine the remotes are the same but I dont know for sure.

Q: I live in a ranch. The floor plan is long and narrow vs the open concepts you see today. Any concerns with it navigating room to room?

A: No, just make sure you pick up. It does get tangled in lamp wires.

Q: Has anyone owned both 1300pa vs newer 1500pa suctioning power models? Notice any big suction difference to justify the higher price in the upgrade?

A: not specifically but did own the eufy robovac 11+ 1000Pa and now 30c 1500 and must confess have not perceived any difference in suction, both great products. The main difference is much less noise and what I perceive as better/smarter/more effective navigation.

Q: For all of those owners of 2-3 years, do you need the warranty?

A: Depends on your usage. This particular model has a schedule that allows for multiple days vs everyday scheduling.

If you use daily, these eventually go bad with normal wear and tear after about 2 years.

Question: Videos look like it just randomly vacuums and not in a pattern. So how does it get the entire room clean?

Answer: It is random. Sometimes I pick it up and bring it back to the main rooms of it heads off to the back hallway. But, I run it almost every day, so every few days it is covered everything. For the difference in price, I feel this is acceptable.

Question: Does cleaning ever finish, and if so how does one tell? Is there any indication whether cleaning completed or the battery just needs charging?

Answer: Your visual observation, along with what the unit picks up tells a revealing story.

Question: Can it clean in the dark? (no light)

Answer: Yes

Question: Will this damage vinyl plank flooring and will it work for it?

Answer: We use it on us without any problems.

Question: Can I put the magnet at the bottom of the couch instead of the floor? Or does it have to be on the ground to work?

Answer: No idea as we do not use our stripping, But having said that, I think that the mag sensors are on the bottom of the unit.

Question: Where do the boundary strips go?

Answer: Anywhere you do not want the vacuum to go

Does this unit have to be connected to the internet to work? Can it be turned on manually?

Answer: No, it does not. It can be turned on by the power button on top of the unit, or by the remote control. It does need to be connected to wifi to be able to control it through the Eufy app.

Question: What do the boundary strips look like?

Answer: Tape strips

Question: Does this vacuum work for dog hair? I have 2 large dogs and they are groomed and shaved so it is not a ton of hair.

Answer: Yes

Question: It seems to be picking nap from rug grey material. Does anyone have that problem?

Answer: Do you have a dog or cat pet? We have a mostly white cat and empty light, fuzzy fur-like puffs from the tray. My daughter has same eufy RoboVac and has 2 light grey cats, that produce similar dirt.

Question: What is the difference between the Robovac 30C and the 35C?

Answer: The Robovac 35C has a button on the top of the unit for easy controlling. The accessories (boundary strips length) is a little bit different.

Question: Can the boundary strips be adhered 2″ above the floor under my coffee table? I would rather hide them up under the edge so that they cannot be seen.

Answer: I have never tried to use them simply for the reason you stated. I dont ugly want to have the ugly black tape running across about 15 feet of the floor in a highly visible area.

Question: Do all Eufy does not work on a dark floor?

Answer: Yes. I have dark walnut wood floors and it works great.

Question: Can I buy more boundary tape?

Answer: yes but via third party seller

Does it alert you If the dust bin is full?

Answer: It does via the app. It stops running and the light on top is red. Without looking at the app, there is no easy way to tell why it stopped.

Question: Why does it only stay in one room?

Answer: It has no mapping capability. So it just bounces around randomly. You can guide it elsewhere by using the remote.

Question: How does one fix the really loud roller noise that occurs after a couple of months?

Answer: Mine does not have a loud roller noise so I would not know about that.

Question: Do you have to use the boundary strips?

Answer: Yes. Especially use it on the second floor. Or limited to a smaller area for super vacuum

Question: What is the height

Answer: The height is almost 3 inches.

Question: If the battery is getting low will it go to the charging dock before it dies?

Answer: Yes–it heads back on its own. I think once it did not make it back, and sometimes it gets lost down a hallway and I have to help it get home; I will pick it up and place it about 12″ from the charger.

Question: If the battery is low but it is not done the cleaning will it return to the charging dock charge and then continue where it left off when done charging?

Answer: No! It does not know where it has been. It has no memory. It just runs until it bumps into something then turns and there is no pattern it follows. After watching several cleanings I determined how long it takes to do each area along with timing battery life for that area.

Question: Can you run and control two 30c at the same time? For example upstairs and downstairs?

Answer: I do not see a reason why not. Have them connected to 2 different phones to control PR just use the respective remote controls.

Question: I have had this unit for 4 days. First time using it ran for 65 minutes, now with 3rd time down to 55 minutes?

Answer: Maybe wet air or something else. Should be in design range

Question: How long does it charge for?

Answer: About 5-6 hours each time. Its running time is about 100-110 minutes.

Question: If you have had both, which is better for dog hair (golden retriever) 11s or 30c? Is there a big difference between the two?

Answer: The 30 works pretty well, I have a hair problem with a shed happy Aussie.

Question: How far can it clean from charging base?

Answer: It should be able to get quite far since I do not think the station has anything to do with operating the vacuum–it may have trouble “finding home” again, though.

Question: Will the boundary strips work under a wooden base of a recliner

Answer: absolutely. But depending on the recliner you may not need the strip as it will be “smart” enough to redirect.

Question: Does it work with Apple HomeKit?

Answer: That, I dont know. Sorry. But the app works great. You can tell if it has charged and sent it off again while at work.

Question: Does it clean remotely with the smartphone?

Answer: Yes

Question: How do I know if my router is 2.4 GHz?

Answer: The make and model should be on the bottom or back of your unit. A quick internet search should be able to tell you.

However, all routers nowadays are.

Question: Can you control direction with iPhone

Answer: No, not with a mobile device, but you can control the direction with the remote that it comes with.
