Bissell 1984 AirRam Cordless Vacuum reviews
Bissell 1984 AirRam is a cordless vacuum for cleaning pet hair, hardwood floors and low pile carpet.
The best part of this model is that it has a long run time (compared with normal cordless vacuum cleaner) up to 30 minutes per single charge, lightweight (about 7 lbs) and it has an agile brush roll designed for cleaning multiple surfaces with very low profile height for reaching under sofa , bed effortlessly.
The model downside is that, it can’t be converted into a handheld unit, and its price is equal to many new released cordless vacuum from Hoover, Shark ( Hoover REACT cordless stick, Shark Ionflex IR101, IR 251) therefore you can consider a lot of models with similar price range to pick out which is the best for you.

FAQs & troubleshooting of Bissell 1984 AirRam
How well does it work on cat litter?
Answer: I haven’t used it to pick up cat litter, but I believe would do very good. It picks up materials of the size of cat litter just fine.
Question: Does plug in charging cord come with this?
Answer: Yes. The battery easily slides off and charger plugs into wall and battery.
Question: Is it comfortable for a tall person to use? Is the stick long enough so a 5 ft 10 inch person does not have to stoop over?
Answer: It is long enough for the most part, not knowing how straight you want to stand. I tend to bend forward a slight bit. Here’s the thing. I, and others, have had the little plastic gizmo that adjusts the handle length break and I ended up using duct tape on the handle at the height I wanted.
Question: will it scratch polished porcelain tile?
Answer: It does not scratch mine.
Question: Does the vacuum work with the handle collapsed, and if so, what is its height with the handle collapsed? We have a toddler who wants a working vacuum.
Answer: yes it does
Question: Is the bissell airram the same as the gtech airram? looks the same!
Answer: I believe so. I saw multiple ads for the gtech while in the UK, so searched for something like it when we got home. It’s the same and I love it!
Question: Does the battery charger come with it or do you have to buy it separately?
Answer: It comes with it. Plugs in at the back of the vac. Easy peasy
Question: how well does it clean along the edge or in corners?
Answer: I would not buy this vacumme. The filter smells like mildew and blows air that smells like mildew.
Question: Can I get a replacement battery charger
Answer: I’m sorry but I do not know.
how long the charge
Answer: The charge lasts about 45-50 minutes. Goes full speed until it stops. In other words, it doesn’t wind down when it’s losing power, It just stops.
Question: Is there a difference between model 1984 and 1984-1?
Answer: Aside from where they’re sold, the two machines are the same!
Question: Can you put an attachment on this vacuum to get to hard to reach places on the ceiling or on top of drapes?
Answer: No. The handle lays flat to the floor to get under things, but it has no attachments.
Question: Can you purchase a second battery to keep charging as a spare and if so where can you get it.don’t see it on amazon
Answer: Yes you can – replacement batteries can be ordered direct from BISSELL online
Question: Is the battery charged on the wall or does the whole vacuum have to be hooked to the outlet?
Answer: Good question – the battery can be removed from the vacuum for charging or charged while still in place.
Question: I see this has a 2 yr warranty. I’m wondering how long this will last tho.. 2.. 3.. 4? Hope to get our moneys worth?
Answer: I have only owned mine for less than a year, but had to have a small part that broke replaced after just 3 months. No problem with Bissell sending me a complimentary new handle, but doesn’t speak well for longevity.
Question: Does it scratch luxury vinyl plank tile? The flooring manufacturer says to not sweep with a brush turned on.
Answer: No it does’t drag at all. But I will say that I and at least one other customer had an issue where the handle came apart and had to be taped back together. That being said, it’s a great little vac for day to day stuff but not as strong as a plug in vac. Just depends on what kind of dirt you have. Pets?
Question: Will the bissell airram pick up pits of paper etc on the floor left in a craft room?
Answer: The AirRam should have no trouble picking up small bits of paper.
Question: This looks a lot like the gtech airram that i have and i was wondering if the charger is the same and if i could order just the charger?
Answer:The Gtech model may use a different charger, you’ll want to contact Gtech direct for any Gtech branded products.
